Setup

Does it need a wall outlet?

No. It runs on USB power. A laptop port, a powered USB hub or any standard 5V USB wall adapter works.

Will the clip fit my desk?

It needs an edge to grip: a desk edge, shelf lip, headboard rail or nightstand top. It won't work on a desk with no accessible edge or an unusually thick slab. The clip is padded, but don't overtighten it on soft wood or thin veneer.

How do the controls work?

The inline remote on the cable has four buttons: + and − change brightness, the mode button cycles through cool, neutral and warm, and the power button turns it on and off.

How long does delivery take?

Orders ship from a partner warehouse, and typical delivery is 10–15 business days from order. Checkout shows the window for your address before you pay. We don't offer next-day or expedited shipping.

What if it isn't right for me?

You have 30 days from delivery. Email support@theambientdesk.com with your order number before sending anything back, and we'll confirm the return. Return shipping is paid by the customer unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or wrong. In that case send a photo and we'll cover it and replace or refund.

What's the difference between Black and Silver?

Only the finish. Both have the same 48-LED ring, gooseneck, clip, remote and USB power. Black is $29.95 and Silver is $31.95.
